First, Know Your Two Main Options
There are two easy ways to get from the airport to Seoul.
1. AREX Airport Railroad (Train)
- A train that goes from the airport directly into Seoul
- Fast, cheap, and never stuck in traffic
- Best if you are okay with walking and using the subway
2. Airport Limousine Bus
- A comfortable bus that stops near major areas and hotels
- Good if you have big luggage
- Can be slower during heavy traffic

Where to Find Them at the Airport
- AREX Train:
- Go down to B1 (Basement 1).
- Follow the signs for “AREX” or “Airport Railroad.”
- Limousine Bus:
- Go to the 1st floor (Arrivals).
- Bus stops are just outside the exit doors. Look for the bus number on the signs.
1. Incheon Airport to Hongdae (Hongik University)
The AREX train is the best choice for Hongdae.
- Take: AREX All-Stop Train
- To: Hongik University Station (홍대입구)
- Time: About 60–66 minutes
- Fare: About 4,950 won
- Transfer: None (the train stops right at Hongdae)

2. Incheon Airport to Myeongdong
You have two good options.
Option A – Train (Recommended)
- Take: AREX Express Train to Seoul Station
- Time: About 43 minutes
- Then: Transfer to Subway Line 4 to Myeongdong Station (about 3 minutes)
- Total: About 55 minutes
Option B – Limousine Bus
- Take: Airport bus to Myeongdong (e.g., Bus 6015)
- Fare: About 17,000 won
- Good if you have big luggage and stay at a Myeongdong hotel
3. Incheon Airport to Dongdaemun
The limousine bus is the easiest choice for Dongdaemun.
- Take: Airport Bus 6001
- To: Dongdaemun area (stops at major hotels)
