Lotte World Tower: The Tallest Building in Korea and a Full Day of Fun

Lotte World Tower is the tallest building in South Korea. It stands 555 meters high with 123 floors, and it is one of the tallest buildings in the world.

What Is Lotte World Tower?

Lotte World Tower is located in Songpa-gu, in the southeast of Seoul. It is the first building in Korea with more than 100 floors.

How to Get to Lotte World Tower (Subway Guide)

The subway is the easiest way to get there. The tower is directly connected to the station, so you do not need to walk outside.

Station: Jamsil Station

Lines: Line 2 (Green Line) or Line 8 (Pink Line)

Exit: Follow the signs to Lotte World Mall (connected underground)

What Can You Do at Lotte World Tower?

1. Go Up to Seoul Sky Observatory

Seoul Sky is on floors 117 to 123 of the tower. The glass-floored Sky Deck at 478 meters is one of the highest in the world. You can see the whole city of Seoul under your feet.

The night view is especially amazing.

2. Shop at Lotte World Mall

Lotte World Mall is one of the biggest shopping malls in Korea. It has fashion brands, Korean cosmetics, restaurants, a cinema, and even an aquarium.

You can shop, eat, and enjoy entertainment all in one place.

3. Visit Avenuel Luxury Department Store

Next to the mall, there is Avenuel, a luxury department store. It has world-famous luxury brands in a quiet and elegant space.

4. Walk Around Seokchon Lake

Right next to the tower, there is Seokchon Lake. A flat 2.5 km walking path goes around the lake.

It is a favorite walking spot for local people. From the path, you can see the tower, the lake, and Lotte World Magic Island together.

In spring, more than 1,000 cherry blossom trees bloom around the lake. The Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival is one of the biggest spring events in Seoul.

5. Enjoy Cafes with a Lake View

Around Seokchon Lake, there are many cafes and restaurants. Some cafes have a view of both the lake and the tower.
