What Is Hahoe Village?
Hahoe Village is located in Andong, in Gyeongsangbuk-do province.
The name “Hahoe” means “river turning around,” because the Nakdong River wraps around the village.
The village has kept its traditional look for hundreds of years.
It is home to old noble houses, thatched-roof homes, Confucian academies, and pine forests.
In 2010, it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not a museum — real families still live here, keeping old traditions alive.
