What Is Hwangnyongwon?
Hwangnyongwon is located in Gyeongju, near Bomun Lake, in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Gyeongju was the capital of the ancient Silla kingdom, so the whole city is full of history.
The main feature is the Jungdotap, a nine-story wooden tower completed in 2016.
It was built to recreate the look of the famous nine-story pagoda of the old Hwangnyongsa Temple, which was lost long ago.
Today, Hwangnyongwon is a meditation and cultural center with a peaceful atmosphere.

How to Get There
Hwangnyongwon is near the Bomun Lake Tourist Complex in Gyeongju.
- From Singyeongju Station (KTX): take Bus 700 to Bomun (about 55 minutes)
