What Is Haeundae?
Haeundae is a district in Busan, on Korea’s southeast coast, famous for its beautiful beach.
Haeundae Beach has about 1.5 km of white sand and welcomes over 10 million visitors a year.
Around the beach you’ll find luxury hotels, cafes, restaurants, festivals, and lively nightlife. It’s the perfect mix of beach relaxation and city fun — a must-visit in Busan.
How to Get There (From Seoul)
Busan is far from Seoul, but the KTX makes it easy.
- Take the KTX from Seoul Station to Busan Station (about 2.5–3 hours)
- Then take Subway Line 2 to Haeundae Station
- Walk or take a short taxi to the beach

What Can You Do in Haeundae?
1. Relax on Haeundae Beach
Of course, start with the beach itself! Swim, walk on the soft sand, or just relax and watch the waves.
In summer, it’s full of energy with festivals and beach fun.
2. Ride the Sky Capsule (Blue Line Park)
This is one of Busan’s most popular experiences!
Colorful little capsules glide along the coast, 7–10 meters above the sea, from Mipo to Cheongsapo. The ocean views are amazing — and super cute for photos.

3. Hop on the Beach Train
Want to see more of the coast?
Take the Beach Train. It runs along the shore from Mipo all the way to Songjeong Beach. It’s a relaxing, scenic ride with beautiful sea views.
4. Walk Dongbaekseom Island
Dongbaekseom is a small forested island connected to the beach.
Follow the wooden coastal trail (about 30–50 minutes) for gorgeous sea views. At night, it’s one of the best spots to see the lights of Haeundae and Gwangan Bridge.

5. Enjoy the Night at The Bay 101
The Bay 101, near Dongbaekseom, is famous for its night view.
The glittering skyscrapers of Marine City reflect on the water — often compared to Hong Kong or New York. Grab a drink and enjoy one of the best night views in Korea.
